About Christine

I have been licensed with the Maine Board of Counseling Professionals since 1993 as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). In 1998, I opened my private practice, Riverview Counseling in Scarborough, Maine, overlooking the Scarborough Marsh. Previously, I worked as an Expressive Therapist and a Group Clinician at The Portsmouth Women’s Center for Mind/Body Wellness and Portsmouth Regional Hospital’s inpatient psychiatric unit and partial hospitalization program for women with a history of trauma.

My focus on grief and bereavement began in 2001 after being trained to be a hospice volunteer for the former Hospice of Maine. Since 2004, I have been a clinical consultant at the Center for Grieving Children where I provide support to the staff and volunteers, offer training on child development, and lead parent education groups. My work at the Center inspired me to pursue certification as a Fellow in Thanatology (FT) from the Association for Death Education and Counseling. I have a special interest and training in supporting children, teens, adults, and families after a suicide loss.
